Sharon Stone looks unbelievable naked at 57

Sharon Stone made a career out of being a sex symbol in movies like Basic Instinct, Total Recall and Sliver, but the actress looks just as good — or possibly better — today than she did back

Stone posed nude for the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar, and the statuesque Oscar nominee is leaving jaws on the floor with her fabulous physique.

Stone posed nude for the first time in a 1990 issue of Playboy, but she told Bazaar that posing for them at this late date was actually easier mentally and emotionally.

“I’m aware that my ass looks like a bag of flapjacks,” she joked. “But I’m not trying to be the best-looking broad in the world. At a certain point, you start asking yourself, ‘What really is sexy?’ It’s not just the elevation of your boobs. It’s being present and having fun and liking yourself enough to like the person that’s with you. If I believed that sexy was trying to be who I was when I did Basic Instinct, then we’d all be having a hard day today.”

But this new age of sex appeal did not come easily. The actress suffered a debilitating brain aneurism in 2001 that cost her her marriage, her health and very nearly her career — but in typical form, she clawed her way back.

“I thought, ‘You know what? I got thrown off the bullet train, and now I’m going to have to crawl up a hill of broken glass, get back on the train that’s going a million miles an hour and work my way from the cattle car up. That’s just the way it is, so I’d better get humble and shut the f*** up and do the job. Because if I can’t do this job, I’m certainly not going to be able to do anything else.'”

Except nude model. She seems to be pretty great at that.

With “Show Me a Hero”, David Simon autopsy American racial implosion

A city cut in two at the edge of the explosion. In the West, minorities survive in crowded apartment blocks of In the East, the white majority taste the American dream of suburbs. No, we are not in Baltimore or Ferguson today but in Yonkers in 1988. In the new HBO miniseries Show Me a Hero, the creator of The Wire, David Simon, returns to the historic showdown around the forced desegregation of the New York suburbs. And considers that this integration always escapes to America 30 years later.

Airing on OCS starting Monday, the miniseries is adapted six hours Chronic Show Me a Hero of the New York Times reporter, Lisa Belkin, who covered the case at the time. Former reporter at the Baltimore Sun, Simon brings the story to the screen with an almost documentary accuracy although helped by the ultra-realistic camera Paul Haggis (Crash).

Nick Wasicsko is not really a hero. Ambitious, young councilman (Oscar Isaac) operates opportunistically opposition voters in the construction of social housing and debunks the incumbent mayor in only 28 years. Before you realize, the day after his victory, that the decision of justice is inevitable and it is fine to have a solution.

The first two episodes focus mainly on municipal councils sometimes endless. But later, Simon interweaves slices of life of three women involved in the relocation. With subtlety, he avoids hagiography with human portraits. An African American smokes crack to escape while a high school student throws in the towel by lazy. Opposite, a mother was especially afraid of seeing his American dream collapsing but his certainties flicker face reality.

“The integration takes a fucking eternity”
Renowned “angry”, David Simon is rather fatalistic interview. Yonkers in Baltimore, nothing has changed? Tails, Barack Obama was elected president. “I did not see this in my lifetime,” says the writer. “More than his election, it is the creation of a middle-class African-American and Hispanic, which is changing the situation,” he says.

On the front, segregation in schools, after the best in the 80, fell back to the levels of 1960. “The problem is that it remains an angry white minority that refuses to see the country changing. They say: “We no longer recognize our America.” “” The integration takes a fucking eternity “if he wins. “But the door opens slowly. “

3 ways to spice up style for proms, weddings

Finding the right accessories is essential to amp up any ensemble, whether it’s the perfect prom dress or a guest outfit for a wedding.

Add-ons can give wearers more pickedlooks prom dresses to maximize use of their formal fashions, which may otherwise gather dust after just one wear.

Lucia Connor, marketing director at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto, shares three ways to spice up prom and wedding fashions.

Seeking out the ideal matching colour or pretty print for shoes will mean little if the soles aren’t suitable for the occasion –and the teen girl or woman putting them on.

“An important key consideration, of course, is your heel height,” said Connor.

“If you’re going to be standing (for) long periods of time, you may want to go with something that’s a little bit more comfortable and shorter…. If you need a statement shoe that you think you’ll be able to walk out of the car with and then stand around for a few photos, make sure you also have something packed away in your bag that will carry you through for the rest of the evening.”

The boho influence is translating to upscale accessories. In addition to fringe on bags, Connor said the feathered wisps of dangling fabric are also being used to enhance shoes, pointing to a powder blue pair of stilettos with a fringe ankle wrap and buckled closure.

Pastel shades like pale pink and blush hues, and metallics such as silver and warm copper, bronze and gold finishes rank among the standout shades in formal footwear.

Shimmering jewelled accents both atop shoes and even housed within the soles offer eye-catching detail to open-toe pumps and low-heeled strappy sandals.

For those wanting to jazz up an existing pair of heels, Connor suggested jewelled or bow-shaped accessories that can be fastened to the shoes.

Whether your handbag of choice is jewel-toned, swathed in fun fur, or steeped in a vibrant colour “you can really have a lot of fun,” said Connor.

“By mixing and matching you can really help to change your look as well,” she added.

In addition to finding the ideal style to complement your outfit, finding a practical bag option is also pivotal, she noted.

“There’s always great colours when it comes to your handbag, but what’s really important when it comes to deciding on something for prom is to make sure you have enough space for a phone, a charger, cash and ID.”

There are plenty of embellished clutches for the season, with designs showcasing sequins, studs, pearls, crystals and bow accents dotting the handheld purses. To merge two statement accessories into one, Connor pointed to one fringe design with a built-in finger ring atop the clutch.

“To really round out your look for prom, make sure you consider jewelled headpieces. They come in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes as well,” Connor said.

Styles span from headpieces encrusted in crystals and gems to more spare designs like a hairband with a dainty bow.

Connor also pointed to the statement necklace as another stylish showpiece that can help elevate an outfit.

She said there are options offering a fresh twist on the accessory, such as a floral-adorned piece that wraps around the back of the neck draping downwards, compared to the more conventional bib styles.

50 years of adorable, awkward, vintage prom photos

The corsage matched the dress. The hair and heavy makeup took three hours to get The date arrived late. All those hours of preparation and anticipation for the big night: The Prom.

The end-of-school milestone began as a college dance, but filtered down to American high schools by the 1930s. By the 1950s, Prom — a short form of the original promenade — took on the shine of a grand affair, as teenagers got spiffed up to gather in hotel ballrooms and country clubs, before graduation.

To mark the biggest prom weekend of the 2015 season, we combed the archives of photos of proms through the decades. World War II era, with tables of young men and women. Big 1950s ball gowns and 1960s pastel frock-bouffant combos. Bold colors of the 1970s, pouffy sleeves of of the 1980s and the spaghetti straps and choker necklaces that dominated the 1990s.

This weekend another generation of high schoolers will pose for photos. Girls in their first updos and formal gowns next to slick, suited-up teenage boys, as their parents’ cameras click. Let’s pay homage to that ritualistic embarrassment with prom photos through the decades.

I spent most of prom in the photo booth with my best friends — and sampling the chocolate fountain.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, Whitney Houston murder accusations heat up

The feud between the Browns and the Houstons is getting even more heated today after one of Bobbi’s aunts accused another of some nefarious deeds — and what she has to say is

Leolah Brown made the damning accusations against the Houston family on her private Facebook page, accessed by Radar Online, and her anger is palpable.

First she dropped a huge bombshell: Not only does she believe there was foul play in the events leading up to Bobbi Kristina’s death, but she also believes Whitney’s death was no accident.

“Whitney was murdered and now my niece Bobby [sic] Kristina!” Leolah alleged, without naming any names.

Of course, it’s no secret who the Houstons think had a hand in Bobbi’s death. The person in charge of Bobbi’s trust — the estate left to her by Whitney — has brought a major lawsuit against her partner, Nick Gordon, accusing him of physically and emotionally abusing her and fraudulently accessing her bank accounts, and stating he beat her and left her in the bathtub where she was later found unconscious.

Leolah didn’t stop with that one shocking statement, though. She then went off on Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and Bobbi’s guardian.

“You notice, no matter what I say, Pat never says anything following, to at least defend herself?” she wrote. “Just think about it. Use your God-given brains. If, what I was saying was untrue or just talking for no reason at all (which anyone that knows me — knows that my character is just simply not that), why would she not defend herself if I am wrong? But, I am saying this for people who are curious as to why there is no talk back from Ms. Pat regarding my statements made about her. I will tell you. Because SHE CANNOT talk back to truth. She has no leg to stand on.

“I know her upbringing and how she was raised — trust me. Whitney and I spoke on this on many occasions — so don’t let her fool you. Although she is being quiet, she is indeed heated right now! Because her world is tumbling down!”

“You know that saying, silence is a virtue? Well in her case it is very wise for her not to say anything because, she not only knows that I AM SPEAKING TRUTH — but she is aware that her day has come!” Leolah continued. “And not only that! The truth is being exposed by a BROWN! And she would have never thought in a million years it would come like this. She is actually in shock right now:) because a Brown is usually silent.”

“See, I am that Brown that she hates with a passion! Why? Because I will fight and die for mine!” Leolah claimed. “I care nothing for a dollar when it comes to peoples lives! She is well aware of this! She knows that she cannot ever win with me — that’s why she is silent! Because I am strictly about truth! I play no games nor pull any punches when it comes to the truth! I am ready on any given day. And she could come any way she would ever choose. She will still be at the bottom. This is why she is quiet and refuse to comment or fight me on anything I say! Unless she comes with lies and deceit. That is the only way after I have spoken the truth. But it would never matter because God is on the scene today!…and JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED AT ONCE!”

It remains to be seen what, exactly, that truth is. However, if you connect the dots of these accusations and the family ties — that Whitney and Bobbi were murdered, Leolah’s hatred for Pat, that Pat is married to Whitney’s brother Gary and that Gary is one of only two people Whitney made sure could get their hands on her money if Bobbi died — it’s pretty clear that Leolah is making a heavy-duty implication here.
